IIT Bombay launches e-PGD in CS and AI

IIT Bombay's Educational Outreach has launched a one-year e-Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence (CS and AI), designed for software developers, engineers, IT professionals, data scientists, and fresh graduates with basic computer science knowledge. The program combines foundational computer science with AI and machine learning topics, including generative AI, large language models, AI agents, RAG, reinforcement learning, computer vision, NLP, deep learning, algorithms, blockchain, security, cryptography, and big data systems. It features synchronous and asynchronous online learning plus an in-person campus immersion at IIT Bombay. Great Learning serves as the EdTech partner. The program can be completed in one year with up to three years allowed. Successful students receive IIT Bombay e-alumni status. The launch reflects IITs' expansion into executive education, a space traditionally dominated by IIMs, driven by demand for upskilling and financial sustainability.
