VinFast's expansion into the Middle East through strategic partnerships could strengthen its global footprint and brand recognition, potentially boosting its market position in the EV sector. The partnerships with established local players like Al Tayer Motors and PlusX Electric may enhance VinFast's distribution and service capabilities, positively impacting its sales and customer satisfaction in the region.
VinFast, the Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer, is expanding its presence in the Middle East, particularly the United Arab Emirates, through a partnership-led strategy. The company signed an exclusive dealership agreement with Al Tayer Motors in 2024 for distribution of VinFast EVs in the UAE. In February 2026, VinFast Middle East signed a Memorandum of Understanding with PlusX Electric, a DEWA-approved EV charging provider, to explore portable charging pods, on-demand mobile charging, and emergency charging as part of roadside assistance. Additionally, at its 2026 Global Business Conference, VinFast signed MOUs with 29 aftersales partners across international markets, aiming to expand to over 1,100 service workshops globally in 2026. These partnerships are designed to build a robust aftersales infrastructure, including service workshops, technician training, and parts delivery within 24 hours in key markets, to support long-term EV ownership.
