GameChange Energy, a global provider of renewable energy infrastructure solutions, announced on August 18, 2026 that it has broken ground on a major expansion of its transformer manufacturing operations in Mumbai, India. The company is investing in a new 300,000-square-foot EHV transformer factory to expand production capacity and address industry-wide transformer supply constraints. The factory will produce EHV Power Transformers rated up to 300 MVA and 500 kV, with a planned annual capacity of 150 medium to large power transformers. Production is scheduled to begin in Q1 2028, and the company is accepting orders now. The site is also designed to accommodate future expansion of medium-voltage transformer operations, adding capacity for an additional 500 transformers per year. CEO Phillip Vyhanek emphasized the investment's role in strengthening the global supply chain and commitment to advanced manufacturing in India.
