This is a public awareness campaign with minimal direct market impact. It may influence public perception and social services funding but is unlikely to affect financial markets.
The United Kingdom — Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) launched the 'Every Victim Matters' campaign to support male victims of domestic abuse, who constitute about one-third of all domestic abuse victims in United Kingdom — Northern Ireland. From April 2025 to March 2026, the PSNI recorded 5,817 domestic abuse crimes against male victims, representing 32% of all such crimes, with a sanction outcome rate of about 19%. The campaign aims to challenge misconceptions, highlight less visible forms of abuse such as coercive control and emotional abuse, and encourage men to seek support. Detective Superintendent Kerry Brennan emphasized that abuse is not a lesser crime when the victim is male. The Men s Advisory Project, a charity supporting over 1,000 men and boys annually, welcomed the campaign, and Justice Minister Naomi Long endorsed it as a step toward recovery for victims.
