The IPO is expected to attract significant investor interest given Symbiotec's strong market position and the active Indian primary market. The listing could boost the company's valuation and provide liquidity to existing investors, while also impacting the pharmaceutical sector's sentiment.
Symbiotec Pharmalab, an Indore-based pharmaceutical and biotechnology company, is launching its initial public offering (IPO) on August 24, 2026, with a price band of Rs 938-988 per share. The IPO aims to raise Rs 1,757 crore, comprising a fresh issue of Rs 150 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of up to Rs 1,607 crore by existing shareholders. The anchor book opens on August 21, and the issue closes on August 27. Listing on the BSE and NSE is scheduled for September 1. The company plans to use fresh issue proceeds for debt repayment and general corporate purposes. Promoter Satwani Holdings LLP and investors Rosewood Investments and India Business Excellence Fund III will sell shares in the OFS. Symbiotec claims a global leadership position in corticosteroid and steroidal-hormone APIs, with significant market shares. The IPO is managed by JM Financial, Avendus Capital, Motilal Oswal Financial Services, and Nomura Financial, with MUFG Intime India as registrar.
