The Canada — Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) announced its fiscal 2026 results, reporting record financing of $11.6 billion for Canadian SMEs, serving 101,135 clients, and authorizing nearly $550 million in venture capital investments. The bank also launched a $6 billion Defence Platform to support Canadian SMEs in defence and dual-use technologies, aiming to strengthen Canada's economic sovereignty.
