Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) reportedly deployed a Digital User Experience Monitoring tool on company-issued laptops, according to Network18 Group. The tool can provide visibility into applications accessed and time spent, raising employee privacy and surveillance concerns. TCS initially did not respond to queries, but later denied individual surveillance, stating the tool tracks network performance at a macro level. The deployment follows TCS's expanded partnership with Zscaler, though the link is unconfirmed. Industry expert Pareekh Jain noted the tool could be used for legitimate operational purposes or surveillance depending on configuration. The lack of formal communication has fueled speculation among employees. Similar tools have faced scrutiny at Cognizant and Meta.
