inFlow Inventory launches lot tracking

inFlow Inventory, a Canadian cloud-based inventory management software company, announced the launch of lot number and expiry date tracking for small and midsize manufacturers and distributors. The feature, developed over two years and tested for a year with food manufacturers, pharmaceutical distributors, and medical device companies, provides batch-level traceability across purchasing, production, sales, and shipping. It includes full movement history, automatic expiry date calculation, first-expired-first-out picking, enhanced GS1 barcode support, and combined lot and serial number tracking. The feature is available on all current plans at no additional cost on Mid-Size plans and above. CEO Louis Leung emphasized that traceability should not be a luxury feature, aiming to make enterprise-grade functionality accessible to smaller businesses that previously relied on spreadsheets or expensive ERP systems.
