Airbus — Airbus Defence and Space, an Indian defence engineering company, expects its export revenue to at least double in fiscal year 2026-27, driven by rising geopolitical tensions and increased global defence spending. The company projects exports of 1.2 billion to 1.3 billion rupees ($12.53 million-$13.58 million), up from 500 million to 600 million rupees in the previous year. Overall revenue is expected to rise to 6 billion to 6.5 billion rupees from 4.77 billion rupees. Orders from Israel and the United Arab Emirates have grown, while demand from France and Germany has increased as European countries boost military spending and diversify supply chains. Paras Defence manufactures optical and electro-optical systems for defence and space, including infrared lenses, anti-drone equipment, and border-surveillance systems. Its customers include Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and the India — Defence Research and Development Organisation. India's defence exports grew 62% to $4.1 billion in fiscal 2026. The Nifty India Defence Index index has gained 27% this year, outperforming the NIFTY 50, and is up nearly 21% since the Iran war began in late February.
