The Federal Government of Nigeria, under President Bola Tinubu, is set to unveil a $1 billion Renewed Hope Social Protection Programme on August 26, 2026, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. Key components include the launch of the One Humanitarian One Poverty Response System (OHOPRS), an integrated national framework for coordinating humanitarian response, social protection, poverty reduction, and economic inclusion; an Emergency Cash Transfer programme targeting 7.2 to 7.6 million vulnerable households; and the Humanity First Magazine.
