J&K LG lays Amriteshwar Sarovar foundation

On August 21, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha laid the foundation stone of the Amriteshwar Sarovar under the 'Jan Sanchay Jan Bhagidari' initiative at Dharpur, Sunderbani, in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. During the event, he paid obeisance at the Shri Amriteshwar Shiv Temple and addressed a public gathering. Sinha emphasized the role of community solidarity in eliminating terrorism, substance abuse, and corruption, and in driving economic development and spiritual revival. He urged people to remain vigilant against anti-national elements and to isolate terror sympathizers, stating that security forces alone cannot defeat terrorism and that a whole-of-society approach is needed to dismantle narco-terror networks. He noted that concerted efforts by the army, security forces, J&K Police, local administration, and residents have significantly degraded terrorism in the region. The event was attended by local officials and community leaders, including Thakur Randhir Singh, Satyapal Sharma, Rajesh Gupta, and others.
