Akpabio thanks Tinubu for university establishment

Senate President Godswill Akpabio publicly thanked President Bola Tinubu for signing into law the bill establishing the Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Obio Akpa, in Oruk Anam Local Government Area of Nigeria — Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Health. Akpabio also commended Governor Umo Eno for releasing the Obio Akpa campus of Akwa Ibom State University to facilitate the university's take-off. He made these remarks during the funeral service of former Majority Leader of the Nigeria — Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Health House of Assembly, Imo Akpan Ibokette, held at Abak International Nursery/Primary School and conducted by the Christ Apostolic Church. Akpabio expressed optimism that the university would commence academic activities this year and looked forward to admitting its first batch of students. He also paid tribute to the late Ibokette, describing him as a patriot and selfless leader.
