Former Nigeria — Sokoto State Governor and Senator representing Sokoto South, Aminu Tambuwal, led a delegation including Deputy Minority Leader Abdussamad Dasuki to meet Nigeria's Minister of Defence, Christopher Gwabin Musa, in Abuja. The delegation raised concerns over persistent insecurity in Kebbe Local Government Area and Kaya community in Tambuwal LGA, attributed to suspected Nigeria — Lakurawa militants. They requested increased security presence, additional operational resources, and sustained military action to protect lives and property and enable residents to resume farming and other economic activities.
