Summit Foods E.coli Wrap Recall

Summit Foods, a UK food manufacturer, has issued a recall for four snack wrap products due to the possible presence of Shiga toxin-producing E. coli (STEC). The affected products are Snacksters Chicken Fajita Wrap, Snacksters Hoi Sin Wrap, East Street Deli Sweet Chilli Chicken Wrap, and Target a Snack Chicken Fajita Wrap, all with use-by dates up to and including September 5, 2026. The recall covers England, Scotland, and Wales. The United Kingdom — Food Standards Agency (FSA) issued an urgent alert warning consumers not to eat the products and to dispose of them or return them for a refund. STEC can cause severe diarrhoea, abdominal pain, and in some cases haemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS), which can lead to kidney failure and be fatal. The Snacksters Chicken Fajita Wrap was sold at Iceland and Bestway Wholesale. Point of sale notices will be displayed in retail stores and on websites.
