Fubara commissions Omoku Zonal Hospital

Nigeria — Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara inaugurated the remodelled and fully furnished 105-bed Nigeria — Omoku Zonal Hospital in Nigeria — Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Area Local Government Area on Friday. The three-storey secondary healthcare facility is designed to serve the Nigeria — Orashi Region and the wider Nigeria — Rivers West senatorial district, including communities in Nigeria — Egbema, Nigeria — Ogba–Egbema–Ndoni, Nigeria — Ahoada, Nigeria — Emohua, and parts of Nigeria — Ikwerre. The hospital includes outpatient clinics, surgical theatres, laboratories, intensive care and newborn intensive care units, radiology services, and staff accommodation. The government provided a 500kVA transformer, 350kVA and 150kVA generating sets, and a 90kVA solar power system. The Permanent Secretary of the Nigeria — Rivers State Ministry of Health, Vincent Wachukwu, reported that health facility attendance in Nigeria — Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Area rose by more than 200% over three years, from about 58,914 patients to nearly 225,400 as of December 2025. The Oba of Nigeria — Ogba–Egbema–Ndoni, Nwachukwu Nnam Obuoha Obi III, who commissioned the facility, commended the governor and urged residents to protect it. Governor Fubara emphasized the importance of healthcare and noted that Nigeria — Omoku is an oil and gas hub.
