The PENGASSAN (PENGASSAN) elected Bosun Olabiyi-Agoro as its new National President at the association's first Quadrennial National Delegates Conference held in Abuja on Saturday. He succeeded Festus Osifo, who had served as president for six years. Olabiyi-Agoro, a petroleum engineer with over two decades of experience in Nigeria's oil and gas industry, currently works with the Nigeria — Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) and previously held roles at Baker Hughes and E. A. Temile and Sons. In his acceptance speech, he pledged to prioritize workers' welfare, protect jobs amid divestments and energy transition, strengthen collective bargaining, and end casualisation and contract staffing exploitation. Other national officers were also elected, including George Nwoko as Deputy President, Dominic as National Industrial Relations Officer, and Amaoge Chukwudi as National Treasurer.
