Idagbo appointed APC South-South coordinator

The Niger Delta Youth Assembly, led by National Coordinator Bedford Berefa Benjamin, commended President Bola Tinubu and Vice-President Kashim Shettima for appointing former House of Representatives member Ochiglegor Idagbo as Zonal Coordinator, Support Group Coordination, South-South, under the APC Presidential Campaign Council. The group praised the appointment as timely and strategic, citing Idagbo's extensive experience in grassroots mobilisation, governance, and legislative affairs. Idagbo's career includes roles as Secretary of Council and two-term Chairman of Bekwarra Local Government Area, Chairman of the Council of Chairmen of Nigeria — Cross River State's 18 local government areas, Commissioner for Works in Nigeria — Cross River State, and two terms in the House of Representatives, where he chaired the House Committee on Local Content. The assembly expressed confidence that Idagbo would strengthen political coordination and mobilisation across the six South-South states. They also commended Nigeria — Cross River State Governor Bassey Otu and other South-South governors for their anticipated support.
