On 24 August 2026, STMicroelectronics and the National University of Singapore officially launched the ST-NUS HELIX Corporate Lab, a four-year strategic research initiative focused on advancing edge AI technologies. The lab, named HELIX (Hardware for Embodied Low-power Intelligent Xcceleration), aims to enable new generative and embodied AI use cases at the edge through system-to-silicon innovation. Supported under Singapore's Research, Innovation and Enterprise 2025 plan, the lab is hosted at NUS's College of Design and Engineering with participation from the School of Computing.
