Bharti Airtel — Airtel Payments Bank announced its financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2026-27. The bank reported a 6.8% year-on-year increase in revenue to Rs 830.5 crore, bringing annualised revenue above Rs 3,300 crore. Net profit surged 82% to Rs 19 crore, while EBITDA rose 31% to Rs 107.5 crore. Customer balances grew 17% to Rs 4,389 crore, and monthly transacting users increased 23% to 29.5 million. The bank highlighted growth in digital payments and transit businesses, with over 6.5 million National Common Mobility Cards issued and strong rural presence. Managing Director and CEO Anubrata Biswas attributed the performance to growing adoption of digital banking in India.
