On August 24, 2026, Mauritius's Minister of Public Service and Administrative Reforms, Lutchmanah Raj Pentiah, met India's Union Minister for Science & Technology, Jitendra Singh (politician), in New Delhi to strengthen bilateral cooperation in public service, training, and capacity building. The talks focused on expanding training opportunities, institutional linkages between Indian institutions and Mauritius's Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Public Service and Innovation (ABVIPSI), and digital learning via the iGOT Karmayogi Mauritius platform. Both sides agreed to build a structured and enduring partnership, building on the existing commitment to train 500 Mauritian civil servants over five years through the India — Centre for e-Governance (NCGG). Discussions also covered emerging areas such as the Blue Economy, ocean technologies, fisheries, and desalination. The meeting was attended by senior officials and the High Commissioner of Mauritius to India, Sheila Bappoo.
