Digital Realty, the world's largest cloud- and carrier-neutral data center platform, announced on August 24, 2026, that it has been selected under Singapore's second Data Center Call for Application (DC-CFA2) to develop a new data center at Singapore — JTC Corporation's low-carbon data center park on Jurong Island. The provisional allocation grants Digital Realty 50 megawatts (MW) of capacity, marking the company's fourth data center in Singapore and expanding its existing footprint of approximately 84 MW across three operational facilities. The selection was made through an open competitive process led by the Singapore — Economic Development Board (EDB) and the Singapore — Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA). The new facility is designed to meet DC-CFA2's energy efficiency requirements, with more than 50% of its capacity powered through green energy pathways. Digital Realty's existing Singapore operations already achieve 100% renewable energy coverage through agreements with Tuas Power. The company has also collaborated with IMDA on Singapore's tropical data center standard, which has improved energy efficiency. The new data center will support AI inference, high-performance computing, and enterprise digital workloads across Asia Pacific, reinforcing Singapore's position as a digital infrastructure hub.
