Swine Flu Outbreak in Gautam Buddha Nagar

India — Gautam Buddha Nagar district district in India has reported nearly 120 cases of swine flu (H1N1), prompting the United States — Health department to intensify surveillance and preparedness. Hospitals and health centers have been placed on alert due to changing weather and a rise in viral infections. The department has ensured availability of essential medicines and prepared a 20-bed ICU with ventilators for critically ill patients. Chief Medical Officer Dr Madan Mohan Tripathi urged the public not to panic but to seek medical advice if symptoms such as cough, sore throat, fever, body aches, weakness, or difficulty breathing appear.
