Delhi H1N1 Preparedness Review

On August 26, 2026, India — Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh held a virtual review meeting with medical directors and superintendents of India — Delhi government hospitals to assess preparedness for H1N1, seasonal influenza, and other respiratory illnesses. The meeting focused on strengthening emergency services, ensuring adequate isolation beds, medicines, and diagnostic facilities. Hospitals were directed to maintain at least five isolation beds (larger hospitals ten or more), establish dedicated flu corners, ensure round-the-clock availability of doctors and staff, and maintain adequate stocks of Viral Transport Medium and other testing supplies. Special attention was given to vulnerable groups such as children and the elderly.
