Bandit attacks kill APC chairman in Kano

Suspected bandits attacked Rantan community in Bebeji Local Government Area of Nigeria — Kano State, killing the Nigeria — All Progressives Congress (APC) ward chairman, Garba Buba, and another resident, Sulaiman Zunduma. The attack occurred on Sunday night, hours after gunmen abducted Yusuf Chiromawa, the Sarkin Noman Jihar Kano, in Chiromawa, Garun Malam LGA; he was later rescued by security operatives. Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf condemned the attacks in four LGAs and pledged decisive action, directing enhanced surveillance and rapid response. The Nigeria — Kano State Police Command, led by Commissioner Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, launched an investigation and summoned area commanders to review security strategy.
