KKR & Co. has agreed to acquire a minority stake in Aveanna Healthcare, a Malaysian private healthcare provider based in Shah Alam. The investment, made through KKR-managed funds, aims to support Avisena's expansion of multi-specialty services at its flagship hospitals and the construction of new greenfield hospitals in the Klang Valley. Financial terms were not disclosed. Avisena, founded in 1996, operates two private hospitals in Malaysia. KKR has invested over $20 billion in global healthcare since 2004, with an Asia-Pacific portfolio including Medical Saigon Group and Metro Pacific Hospital Holdings. This deal reflects growing demand in Malaysia's private healthcare market and KKR's strategy of partnering with established healthcare providers in the region.
