World Meteorological Organization: The World Meteorological Organization stated that Europe is warming at more than twice the global average, making prolonged heat episodes increasingly likely, providing a global context to the heatwave.

Spain: Spain has linked 212 deaths to the heatwave and experienced its highest daily average temperatures in June since at least 1950. The country has seen a significant increase in heat-related mortality compared to previous years.
