The listing broadens investment opportunities on the NGX and reinforces the exchange's role in promoting transparency. It reflects a trend of Nigerian financial institutions seeking governance benefits of public markets without raising capital.
AVA Capital Plc, an integrated financial services group, will be admitted to the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) on July 31, 2026, via a Listing by Introduction. The listing does not involve raising new capital but aims to enhance corporate governance, transparency, and market visibility. The group, which operates through subsidiaries AVA Capital — AVA Global Asset Managers, AVA Capital — AVA Securities, and FBN Trustees Limited, structured transactions worth over N500 billion in the 2025/2026 financial year. Managing Director Olukayode Fadahunsi emphasized the move as a natural progression toward becoming a long-term public institution. The company already meets NGX's free-float requirement with about 20% of shares held outside the controlling structure.
