Yellow Card Financial, a leading global stablecoin infrastructure provider, announced the successful closing of a $40 million strategic funding round. The round was led by SC Ventures, the innovation and investment arm of Standard Chartered, with participation from European Innovation Council Fund, Polychain Capital, Blockchain Capital, and other strategic investors. This brings Yellow Card Financial's total financing to over $120 million in equity financing. The new capital will be used to scale Global USD Accounts, an end-to-end dollar account for businesses, and expand stablecoin rails connecting to markets worldwide. The funding will support Yellow Card Financial's expansion beyond Africa into Americas and MSCI Asia Pacific Index, and deepen its presence in existing markets. Yellow Card Financial has processed over $10 billion in transactions, supports more than 50 currencies, and holds licenses in 22 jurisdictions across North American Cobalt Inc., Europe, and Africa. The company's customers include Visa and Western Union, and it has strategic partnerships with Mastercard, PayPal, and Coinbase. The investment reflects growing institutional interest in stablecoin infrastructure for cross-border payments.
