The transfer strengthens DP World's UK logistics network, potentially enhancing its competitive position and revenue streams in the grocery and retail supply chain sector. For GXO, the divestiture satisfies regulatory requirements, allowing its acquisition of Wincanton to proceed, which may positively impact its operational scale and market standing.
DP World has reached an agreement with Keg Logistics to transfer six contract logistics sites serving grocery customers in the UK. The transfer, which includes over two million square feet of warehouse capacity and more than 2,000 employees, was a regulatory condition imposed by the UK United Kingdom — Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) for its approval of GXO's acquisition of Wincanton. The sites, located in Doncaster, Rochdale, Charlton, Greenford, Wellingborough, and Larne, serve major UK supermarkets including Walmart — Asda, Sainsbury s, and the Co-op. The transfer is expected to close in September 2026, and GXO will retain transport operations at the sites. This deal expands DP World's UK contract logistics footprint and strengthens its end-to-end supply chain capabilities, integrating port operations with large-scale warehousing.
